Rachel is a California native with a passion for travel and nonprofit work. In 2012, she moved to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She works with Peak 4 Poverty, a nonprofit organization that climbs mountains to raise money to sponsor the education fees of Tanzanian kids who have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS.
Rachel also freelances as a professional storyteller for NGOs and pursues art-as-activism projects in her free time. Currently, she’s examining the way women from different cultures connect and build communities. She interested in the powerful forces of sisterhood as a way to effect change.
This blog is an account of everything she’s learning and doing. Enjoy, and party on, party people.
